Draco:
I have started this post to you dozens of times, and abandoned and deleted it just as many.
If I tell you I am well, what will you say to that? Will you tell me you are glad, and that you will not intrude on my seclusion? Or will you demand to know where I am, demand to join me in safety? In all honesty I am not sure which I desire. The idea that you would not ask where I have hidden myself, that you would not run to me--you and Severus both--if you but knew where I am, anonymous, comfortable, and as secure as I can hope to be in a world where the presence of the Dark Lord remains--would I call your insistence to stay where you are courageous, or merely foolhardy? Would it create the smallest doubt that any place can provide safety, that it might be better to face any threat openly? I hardly need those kinds of doubts.
And yet I want you to say that you would join me, and I cannot know unless I ask you. Perhaps this time I will have the daring to unlock this, not to delete it as I have so many

What an interesting piece of speculation. Yes, I should very much like to discuss this article with you further--though if your opinion of it is anything other than a healthy bit of dubiousness as to the source, we may be in for quite the debate, I must warn you.
Friday would be most convenient for lunch, if that works well for you; thank you for asking me. I'm sure I'll enjoy any venue you might choose, and certainly the company. I shall come prepared with a few suggestions for Museum curator who might be worthy of the position.

Severus:
I am inclined to believe the photographic evidence. I do not feel I am the sort to use the influence of whisky or any other inebriant as an excuse to share a kiss with just anyone. You were, indeed, pleasant to kiss. Neither showy nor too eager, but dry of wit and possessing intriguing depths. You were perhaps a trifle maudlin, but I seemed ready to forgive that, did I not?
I do not, however, believe I live here. None of the clothes fit me, nor do they resemble the style I was clad in last night. (A style which feels as if it suits me, unlike the garments in these wardrobes.)
I am partial to the white suite of rooms--excellent designer choice--and the quality of its bed linens, but its wardrobe is empty of clothing. Perhaps it is a guest room set up for my use, might you suppose?
I found a house-elf cowering in the pantry. I believe I shall set up a proper interrogation of the thing and see what other answers I can glean. Have you any thumbscrews in the house? Never mind, you wouldn't know, would you.

Healer Billow:
Some of your personnel attempted to educate me regarding St. Mungo's already-existing security for its patients. I apologize if I was brusque with them.
The wards I have placed in Ms. Cauldwell's room should not interfere with any hospital member directly involved with her care and well-being, and they should be able to enter the room, exit it, and perform any diagnostic spell or routine duty for her treatment and comfort. Ms. Cauldwell knows how to allow the wards to admit a visitor, should she desire it; all others will find themselves barred from the room.
The wards will allow me to pass as well, when I return. I shall not be gone long.
